Star of the Week November 17th-21st
Sophie was Star of the Week in her Kindergarten Class...she gets special treatment from the teacher and she gets to tell all her classmates (30 classmates!) about her favorite things, places and family. Sophie said her favorite thing to do is DRAW. Her favorite place to go is SAN DIEGO. She wants to be an ARTIST when she grows up, and she wishes we had a HOT TUB! Marc and I brought snacks to her class on Friday the 17th and since she will not be in school for her 6th birthday, we celebrated it on Friday as well, with her favorite chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting! YUMMY!
Soccer Season comes to an end...
Sophie really enjoyed the soccer season that started in August '08. Tuesday night pratices and weekly Saturday games until November 8th. Della's dad, Steve Pascucci, was coach and so was Aurora (Vienna's mom). Marc and Armin were refs for the season. Sophie's soccer team was named "Love Bugs". Sophie started out pretty much playing with Della and playing no attention to the game, but turned out to be one of the teams most valuable players, scoring 3 or more goals each game!

San Diego Sun!
We took a short and unexpected trip to San Diego. We arrived on Friday the 10th of October and left of Monday the 13th! We went to Legoland and Seaworld plus a day at the pool and beach. We stayed at the Hilton in Mission Beach area and visited with our friends Andy and Christina. The weather was amazing...so much so maybe one day we will move there!? Yeah right! May be when we retire....? Anyway, the kids had a blast and so did we. A much needed little get away from Cafe madness!
Dry Wall is going up!
The cafe is moving along swiftly now. Yesterday we had our first "big" inspection of the rough plumbing, electrical and framing. Today the dry wall company started and almost finished the whole cafe! Marc also installed the windows that partion off the play room from the dining room. It is looking so awesome. Next week we are scheduled to start painting!
