Food Inc.

I have recently been involved in wondering where our food comes from.  Marc and I watched Food Inc., and I am reading many of Michael Poollen's books about food.  After watching Food Inc., and seeing how the meat producers and packers treat cows, pigs and chickens we have a greater awareness and appreciation for organic food.  It's deplorable to house chickens in dark coops and feed them corn, antibotics and hormornes.  We are passioate about what we eat and what we feed our kids.

Sequoia Bell Bottom Auction

This Sequoia Bell Bottom auction February 20th) was a great fund raiser.  The theme was the 70's, so Marc dressed up as his favorite 70's guy.  What a great night of fun this was!

Point Reyes Day Trip

It's hard to believe that we are at the beach in February!  We took a day trip with Jackie, Holly and Kyle to Point Reyes (Monday, February 15th - holiday) and enjoyed a picnic lunch, fun on the beach and then we also took a look at Stinson Beach.  A lot of driving, but we couldn't have asked for a better day.

Batter up! Cooper starts T-ball

Cooper gets a few instructions from Co-coach, Dan Balmat.

It's a home run.

Cooper started T-ball, with the first practice staring February 13th.  Daddy is the team's coach too!

My Dad

Dad went home (winter Arizona home) on Thuursday, February 18th after almost 4 months in rehab hospitals.  Brothers, Todd and Wyatt arrived in Arizona for a visit on Friday, February 19th.  Melody reported some late night issues with pain and medication.  Wyatt said that on Monday at 12am Dad woke up the household screaming of pain.  Melody said that Dad called out for me..."Jenny!", but I was not in Arizona.  Then he called out for Melody.  He went to the hospital and they learned he had a bladdar infection and the ER doctor alerted them to the fact that he was not doing well.  They all agreed to put Dad in  a hospice hospital.  That's where he is today.  Looking and feeling better.  Be strong Dad, but most importantly be comfortable.  I love you!

Dad goes to Stanford

Dad enjoys his Stanford meal the day after his tumor was removed.  It looks delicious!  It looks like Wyatt wants a bite.
